Presented at the New York Auto Show Nissan Show Sheet RC NISMO race is an electric car concept based loosely on the first mass-produced EV. Sitting about a foot lower and the use of a carbon fiber chassis, there would at first appear to be much more similar between the two vehicles - despite the headlights and taillights share some of the same design cues.

Built by the racing division of Nissan NISMO car, however, make use of electric transmission similar to that found in leaf production with a 80 kW electric motor that produces 107 horsepower and 207 lb-ft of torque, which allows a 0 - 62 mph time of 6.85 seconds due to a weight of just over 2,000 pounds. Nissan says it can be recharged up to 80 percent in just 30 minutes and can operate for 20 minutes at a time.

More than a shining symbol Auto Show, the car looks ready to compete and Nissan says it is considering the creation of an RC NISMO spec racing series to demonstrate how serious car electric cars.
